HISTORY
Since its inception in 1992, SunUp has been at the forefront of digital technology as applied to television broadcasting. In 1993, SunUp signed a development contract to implement control software for the DIRECTV Castle Rock project, which was fully operational within a year. Today, DIRECTV is a highly successful digital satellite broadcasting system that has grown to over thirteen million subscribers. In 1995, SunUp began developing a completely integrated traffic and control system (TCS) with embedded asset management for the DTH (Direct-to-Home) and Digital Cable industry. Two years later, SunUp's TCS was a critical component in six DTH networks on three continents. In 1997, Sony made an equity investment in the company. Today, TCS is established as the industry leader for high channel-count digital traffic and control systems.

Since 1995, SunUp has been installed as the backbone of two-thirds of the world largest DTH operations. As a result, the company has earned a strong reputation for supplying solutions to the world's largest high channel-count operations. Each system is custom-configured to offer a total content, service, resource, and workflow management solution that can handle large amounts of content and hundreds of channels, with the ability to support evolving business models and new industry standards.

Since 2001, SunUp has applied its proven technology to the evolving content distribution needs of the IPTV, Cable, Corporate, and e-Cinema networks. SunUp has built on its expertise in real time delivery networks to handle the large content ingest, preparation, and distribution needs of on-demand and other content delivery networks and the business processes that revolve around such networks.
