Module Overview
Asset Factory manages the definition, execution and tracking
of all the steps involved in ingesting content, turning the content
into usable assets, and staging.
Business Rationale
Content arrives at a NOC in a multitude of formats: electronic
file format, external feed, various tape formats, or in-house production.
Managing the workflow and the resources needed to acquire the asset,
convert it from the content provider's format into the house format,
add the appropriate localization, and create or QC the necessary
metadata can be a daunting prospect. SunUp's Asset Factory manages
and automates these tasks to speed up the process and reduce the
operational burden. Asset Factory integrates fully with other optional
SunUp software modules to facilitate even greater overall operational
efficiencies.
